When I first moved to LA, my friends all serendipitously had apartments in the same four blocks. With stressful careers and living far from our families, we were constantly looking to avoid the Sunday Scaries by getting together and breaking bread — sharing our native recipes and developing cooking skills around our tiny dining room tables.

Every Sunday became Family Dinner. A place where we could decompress, share laughs and stories, and feel warmth and love before our perilous workweeks.

I started Family Dinner because I want to build experiences at scale that made me feel like I felt at the end of every Sunday night — happy, comforted, and ready to take on the day.

15+ years building brands at the intersection of food and culture.

Logan Altman has spent his career in marketing and food — both at large-scale restaurant brands and high-growth startups. He started in advertising in partnership with The North Face, then moved to Chipotle where he spent four years in marketing and consumer research.

From there, he helped scale sweetgreen from 25 restaurants to 150, building the consumer insights, experience, and analytics function from the ground up — later leading menu development and product marketing. Most recently, he led concept and menu development, culinary, procurement, supply chain, and training at ghost kitchen company REEF Technology.
